Return of the Reds

Initially formed as an annual event hosted by Pacific Star Seafoods, the annual Return of the Reds event celebrates the valuable role salmon play in our community and the start of the salmon season as well as raises financial support for the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank. The very first fish of the season will be auctioned to benefit the Food Bank, followed by local chefs competing to deliver the best-tasting sockeye dish to discerning judges. There will be educational activities for kids, games, music, and food! This event is held in partnership with the City of Kenai, Kenai Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, and the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank.
